The TRWI Craft Group Strike Again!
You may remember the cheerful post box topper that was attached to the top of the red landmark at the bottom of Coleshill High Street by the garage (to commemorate the coronation of new King Charles III)? Well, the crafty ladies at Twin Rivers Women’s Institute had so much fun that they have done it again.
This time they decided to commemorate the theme of ‘World Oceans Day’. On the 8 June every year, World Oceans Day is held to highlight the value of the seas and how the world should work together to ensure our ocean’s health and wellbeing.
As you can see in the photo(s) the ladies did a fantastic job. They’ve included all sorts of animals: an octopus, star fish, turtles, polar bears, penguins, whales and fish – even seaweed! It has been causing quite the stir with people parking up in order to go and take photographs. If you have not had a look yet, do not miss the chance to go and see it.
The ladies have hit upon something that has taken off in a special way. This will not be last topper they do and are already considering what the next theme will be.
So keep your eyes open for the next one.
If you would like to come along to a Twin Rivers meeting to see what we are all about: we meet on every second Tuesday of the month at Coleshill Town Hall. Come along and join in the full. All ladies welcome.
