Wednesday 29th June 2022, 45 students from The Coleshill School took part in the Children’s University Graduation ceremony at Birmingham University. 

Parents proudly watched as their children, dressed in blue cap and gowns, received awards in recognition of their dedication to extra-curricular learning activities. The Coleshill School had 45 Gold Award winners achieving over a 100 hours of learning activities. Students received awards ranging from Gold Undergraduate for 100 learning hours to Gold Postgraduate certificate for achieving over 600 hours. This year was particularly special with two dance performances in the awards ceremony. 

The Children’s University Trust provides 7 to 14 year olds with exciting and innovative learning activities and experiences outside school hours. The passport to learning has been created where students collect stamps for hours of accredited learning which contribute to the award of a certificate.

Miss Holland, Enrichment and Children’s University Coordinator, commented “It was a fabulous event in a beautiful setting and we were all inspired by the location. We are so proud of our students and what they have achieved. The only challenge was re-locating their caps after they were all thrown in the air in celebration on the University Grounds!.”
