The Essentials Beauty celebrate 20 years

This July marks the 20th anniversary of The Essentials Beauty and what a packed twenty years it’s been!

Back then, The Essentials was just one room above Christos hairdressers (now Evolution) on the Bradford Road. There was only one therapist – its founder Emma and a select choice of treatments… Two decades later and the business has blossomed. With two locations, one on Manor Park Road, Castle Bromwich and the other located on Coleshill’s High Street; its team of eleven amazing ladies provide an award-winning service to thousands of regular clients.

The salons offer a warm, friendly and inclusive welcome to everyone that visits, with an extensive menu of quality treatments that are both high-end and diverse. Using brands such as Katherine Daniels British skincare, CACI Non-surgical face-lift, CND Shellac and Gel, St Tropez Spray Tanning and Nouveau lashes, The Essentials never compromises on quality, in terms of product or service. Its therapists offering detailed advice, to create bespoke treatment plans right for a clients’ needs; not just because they’re on the menu. The Coleshill branch was also fortunate enough to be awarded a local COVID grant from Warwickshire Borough Council. This furnished the salon with a new air conditioning system and a Coffee and Fizz bar in late 2021, enhancing a clients’ experience and providing some added luxury.

Salon owner Emma is passionate about looking after the mental health of her clients, believing that the beauty industry plays a massive part in how we view and feel about ourselves.  She insists ‘the beauty industry has a moral obligation to treat clients as a whole person. The rise of social media means we can have a very distorted view of how we think we should look. When providing treatments, beauty therapists need to be thinking, is this the right option for a client, both physically and mentally? Is it going to help them achieve the goal of looking and feeling really great about themselves? All beauty services are partly psychological for a client.  It’s not just about how it makes you look, it’s about the whole experience, from how you feel during the treatment to after you leave the salon’.

With this in mind and to help celebrate the business turning 20, they are hosting a Charity Birthday Party on Saturday the 23rd July at the Coleshill Social Club, raising money for the Mind Charity.

Tickets are £40 with £10 of each ticket going directly to Mind. Emma would like to raise £3000 in total for this charity and has already made a great start; raising over £700 by taking part in the Birmingham 1/2 Marathon in May this year.

It promises to be a great night with a live performance from The Bonny Lou Band, a hot and cold buffet, fun casino, charity raffle and so much more! So why not dust off your dancing shoes, get dressed up and join them on the 23rd July. Tickets are available to purchase from either salon or via their website www.the-essentials.co.uk
