Celebrating student success

On Tuesday 3rd May 2022, Year 11 students from The Coleshill School were invited to a red carpet Awards Evening at the Coleshill Town Hall.

The students were nominated by their teachers for their sustained commitment to their school work and to school life in general.  To congratulate them on their success, each student received a personalised trophy and a gold achievement pin badge for their blazer.

Mayor, Councillor Caroline Symonds, presented the awards to the students in front of their very proud parents and family members and students Libby and Emily, gave a musical performance.   Taylor Smith, ex-student and Tae Kwon Do European champion, also presented the awards and gave an inspiring speech about her journey from starting at The Coleshill School and working hard and achieving her qualifications at the same time as competing at a high level.

Mr Smith-Childs, Headteacher, commented “We are so proud of our talented Year 11 students.  They all deserve recognition for their hard work and commitment in this extremely challenging and important academic year working towards their GCSE exams in the summer.”

Mr Howard, Assistant Headteacher, commented “It was lovely to be able to recognise the achievements of our Year 11 students and show our appreciation for their efforts.’’
