Fabulous Annual Christmas Fair in Coleshill Town Hall

What a super time was had by all! On the 4th of December 2021, the annual Coleshill Charity Christmas Fair was held in the Coleshill Town Hall from 12 noon to 4.00 pm. It was a wonderful day and loads of people came and had fun. Santa was in the Hudson Room in his amazing Grotto – and he was able to gift a Cadburys Selection Box to all the children who visited him – due to the kind and very generous donations received from local businesses and people who wanted to contribute to the Coleshill Community at this special festive time. These generous donators were Hallmark Cars & Trucks, Happy Days Garage, Jaffa’s Café, The Coach Public House, Supreme Recruitment, and a couple of anonymous donations as well. It is absolutely wonderful to see how the Coleshill businesses and residents continue to pull together to support each other in these unusual and challenging times.

We had over twenty-five stalls all offering interesting crafts and gifts, including lots of local charity stalls offering Tombola’s, lucky dips and games. All stalls did well, and so the charities have thus gained some much-needed funds to help them survive and continue their good works in the New Year.

The fair was opened at noon by the Town Mayor, Councillor Caroline Symonds who stayed to join in the occasion. The Ukulele Band were here as the doors opened to play festive tunes to set the mood for the afternoon. Later, the St. Edwards R. C. Primary School Choir, lead by their teacher, Ms Jones came along on stage and beautifully sang lots of Christmas carols to keep us celebrating and lift our hearts.

Hot food outside and spicy food inside, cakes and sweet and festive treats were all available. The queue to see Santa continued all afternoon, until we closed the doors. A massive THANK YOU needs to go out to all who contributed to make this a super and successful event, especially as we had to cancel it last year, due to the pandemic. We came back with a bang, with the Coleshill community pulling together, joining in and giving everyone a fabulous and festive afternoon. THANK YOU.
