High ambitions for PLOTT’s charity climb

Local branding and website agency, PLOTT, love a challenge. So they’ll be supporting their friend and colleague, Katie Hale, in her quest to raise vital funds for Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

They are ‘wearing in’ their walking boots ready for the 19th June when Katie, the PLOTT Team and a few close friends will be climbing Mount Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales.

Why choose MNDA? Well, Katie’s world was turned upside down last December when her husband, Terry, was diagnosed with the devastating disease.

What is MND? Motor neurone disease happens when cells in the brain and nerves, called motor neurones, gradually stop working. This causes the muscles to weaken, stiffen and waste. It is not known why this happens.

Katie told us, “It’s been a tough few months, but to organise something positive has given us all a bit of hope that maybe one day they will find treatment to at least stop the progression of MND. I’m totally overwhelmed with the amount of donations we’ve already received, and I am so grateful for every single pound.”

The MND Association funds and promotes research within the UK and across the world to develop new and effective treatments for MND. This leads to a better understanding that brings us all closer to a cure.

“Katie is a lifelong friend, not to mention a much loved member of the PLOTT family. We may have a mountain to climb, but it’ll be worth every step to support Katie and Terry and raise as much as we possibly can to help fund the cutting-edge MND research that is so desperately needed.” Anna Plotnek, PLOTT MD.

The Fundraising page already stands at just over £6.5k with generous donations from many businesses, friends and colleagues. But we’d love to get to £10k with your help.

The PLOTT team are also planning other fundraisers this year to support Katie and MNDA. So if any local Coleshill businesses would like to join them or if you have any fundraising ideas, they’d love to hear from you.
